Job summary

Surbana Jurong in Manila is seeking an experienced Civil/Marine Project Manager to lead large-scale civil works. You will coordinate activities, manage documentation, and monitor progress while supervising teams to meet Employer's requirements.

With 10+ years in civil projects and at least 5 years in marine works, you will handle risk assessment, tender preparation, site supervision, and contract administration, liaising with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• PMP certification preferred.
• 10+ years in managing large civil projects, with at least 5 years on marine works.
• Experience in risk assessment, geotechnical works, EIA, tendering, site supervision, and contract administration.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills; proactive can-do attitude.
• Willing to accept project-based employment.
• Willing to be assigned in Manila.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in coordinating project activities, managing documentation, and monitoring progress.
• Supervise the project team to ensure activities meet requirements.

• Report progress to senior management and lead regular strategy meetings.
• Conduct stakeholder meetings to address challenges and align with goals.
• Liaise with Construction Supervision, Design, PM Support, and Contract Advisory.
• Manage all phases from design to completion, optimizing resources and cost.
• Ensure compliance with approved methodologies and procedures.
• Maintain project cost/change controls and budget records.
• Monitor contractor activities to align with the schedule.
• Support change order estimation and managing change requests.
• Review contractor construction schedules and progress reports.
• Prepare and review weekly/monthly reports on contract status and costs.
• Assist the Regional Director in identifying business opportunities and client engagement.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in managing large-scale civil engineering projects, with at least 5 years focused on marine works (dredging, reclamation, rock works,wharfand jetty construction).
• Experience in risk assessment, geotechnical and engineering works, environmental impact assessments, tender preparation, site supervision, and contract administration.
• Strong technical competence, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive can-do attitude.
• Willing to accept project-based employment.
• Willingto be assignedinManila.
