Job summary

WSP NZ is seeking an IT graduate (or equivalent) to support a Senior Operational Specialist in day-to-day operations and ongoing maintenance. The role offers involvement in continuous improvement initiatives and active collaboration with stakeholders across projects.

Applicants should hold an IT/ electronics related degree and have about two years of experience in IT support or helpdesk. Some travel for instrumentation monitoring installations may be required.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Information technology, information science, electronics, computer systems engineering or related field.
• Preferably minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Experience in IT support, helpdesk or similar; knowledge of electronics, sensors or embedded devices.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Operational Specialist in day-to-day operations, maintenance and implementation.
• Provide strong stakeholder support with occasional travel for instrumentation monitoring installations.

Our WSP Research Centre in Petone is looking for an IT graduate (or equivalent) with a couple of years’ experience and a strong interest in electronics and systems‑based technologies.

You’ll support the Senior Operational Specialist, contributing to day‑to‑day operations, continuous improvement initiatives, maintenance and implementation. Providing strong stakeholder support, with opportunities for occasional travel across Aotearoa New Zealand and offshore to support instrumentation monitoring installations.

About you:

• A Qualification in Information technology, information science, electronics, computer systems engineering, instrumentation engineering or relevant field.
• Preferably minimum of 2 years of experience in related discipline.
• Experience in IT support, helpdesk or similar
• Working knowledge of electronics, sensors, or embedded devices.
