Job summary

WSP Manila is seeking a senior professional to lead the office’s strategic development and project delivery. You will mentor staff, drive multi-disciplinary project design and ensure alignment with client needs and budget. The role demands extensive experience in engineering, QA, and BIM coordination.

You will interact with local markets, lead large teams, and contribute to annual strategy while maintaining high safety and quality standards across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent.
• 12–15+ years of experience across large projects.
• Proven ability to provide technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards or international codes of practice.
• Basic use of BIM software and ability to review models.
• Awareness of BIM inter-disciplinary coordination.
• Strong emphasis on safety in design practices and processes.
• Ability to lead large multi-discipline projects and manage scope.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analysing the financial and non-financial performance of the office.

• Participate in performance appraisals of direct reports.
• Approve offers and contracts to the delegated limit.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and policies for areas you oversee.
• Participate in office/region management meetings and strategic retreats.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

Qualifications

(Minimum and Desirable):

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent.
• Typically, 12-15+ years’ experience.
• Proven competence in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
• Knowledgeable in Australian Standards or proven experience with use of international codes of practice
• Basic use of BIM software and how to use and review models.
• Awareness of BIM inter-disciplinary coordination.
• High level skills in applying safety in design practices and processes.
• Proven ability to prepare technical reports and review large project reports.
• Ability to project lead large sized multidiscipline projects.
• Competent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
• Active participation is manhours estimate for design of MEP scope of projects
• Delivered best client outcomes/options which have saved the client costs/time.
• Applies legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications.
• Competent in identifying and managing risk on substantial projects.
• Strong experience in developing and maintaining client relationships. Ability to communicate complex technical issues to clients.
• Extensive experience in applying and mentoring others in QA and OH&S systems. Regular auditing of other more junior staff.
• Proven ability in building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organisation.
• Experience in supervising graduates and professionals and managing teams.
• Active participation in IQBE initiatives and Discipline Action Plans.
• Balance innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and budget. Is flexible to meet project outcomes
• Open to receiving and providing constructive feedback.
