Job summary

MicroSourcing in the Philippines seeks a Project Estimator for Concrete & Flooring Coatings. This hybrid role supports cost estimation for commercial, industrial, and residential flooring projects, collaborating with project managers, clients, and suppliers to prepare competitive estimates.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with BuildingConnected and Measure Square, plus strong Excel skills and pre-construction administration know‑how. Night shift availability is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Commercial Flooring.
• 3+ years as a Construction Estimator with epoxy flooring systems, resinous coatings, polished concrete, and cove base detailing.

Responsibilities

• Lead tracking and pipeline management using BuildingConnected to monitor ITBs, manage project pipelines, and submit proposals.
• Perform accurate digital take-offs using Measure Square for flooring materials like epoxy systems and cove bases.
• Evaluate project costs including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and overhead.
• Build and maintain a database of material costs, product coverage rates, and system components.
• Manage pre-construction admin tasks including RFIs, client submittals, COIs, and scheduling.
• Brief project managers and field teams during handovers to ensure scope and budgets alignment.
• Conduct post-project cost variance analysis to improve estimating accuracy.

Your Role

As a Project Estimator - Concrete & Flooring Coatings, you will serve as the backbone of project planning by accurately calculating costs for commercial, industrial, and residential flooring projects. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and suppliers to prepare competitive and profitable project estimates.

Specifically, You Will

• Lead tracking and pipeline management using BuildingConnected to monitor invitations to bid (ITBs), manage project pipelines, and submit proposals.
• Perform accurate digital take-offs using Measure Square, calculating square footage and linear footage requirements for flooring materials such as epoxy systems, polished concrete, and cove bases.
• Evaluate project costs, including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and overhead.
• Build and maintain a comprehensive database of material costs, product coverage rates, and system components.
• Manage pre-construction administrative tasks, including RFIs, client submittals, certificates of insurance (COIs), and project scheduling.
• Brief project managers and field teams during project handovers, ensuring alignment on scope, budgets, materials, and timelines.
• Conduct post-project cost variance analysis to improve future estimating accuracy.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• With at least 1-2 years of experience in Commercial Flooring
• With at least 3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator with a focus on epoxy flooring systems, resinous coatings, polished concrete, and cove base detailing.
• Hands-on experience using BuildingConnected for bid management and Measure Square for takeoffs and estimating.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong knowledge of pre-construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, and COI coordination.
• Advanced ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, finish schedules, and structural specifications.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with experience calculating square footage, linear footage, and material yields.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Previous hands-on experience installing epoxy coatings or operating concrete grinding and polishing equipment.
• Valid driver's license with willingness to conduct occasional site visits.
