Job summary

Clark Outsourcing is seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator to support cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and bid submissions for construction projects in Clark Pampanga. You will review plans, drawings, specs, and documentation to determine material, labor, equipment, and other costs.

The role requires interpreting technical information, identifying cost variables, comparing supplier pricing, and preparing clear estimates with supporting documentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating or related roles.
  • Experience interpreting construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
  • Strong ability to perform quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates.
  • Understanding of construction materials, labor, subcontractor costs, and overall project costing.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and measurement calculation skills.
  • Experience with estimating software and coordinating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to understand scope.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
  • Identify cost variables, allowances, and scope changes affecting pricing.

Quick Rundown:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Project Estimator to support the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and bid submissions for construction and related projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing project plans, drawings, specifications, and other available documentation to determine material, labor, equipment, and other anticipated project costs. This role requires the ability to interpret technical information, identify potential cost variables, compare supplier or subcontractor pricing, and prepare clear and well-supported estimates. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction estimating principles and is comfortable working with architectural and construction plans, specifications, takeoffs, budgets, and project documentation.

What You’ll Do:
Project Estimating & Cost Analysis
  • Review project plans, drawings, specifications, and other relevant documentation to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project-related expenses.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements based on construction drawings and specifications.
  • Identify potential cost variables, additions, exclusions, allowances, and scope changes that may affect project pricing.
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between drawings, specifications, quotes, and other project documentation.
  • Research current material, labor, and subcontractor costs when required.
  • Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations and evaluate pricing against project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation supporting all estimates and cost calculations.
Bidding & Proposal Support
  • Prepare estimates and budgets for construction projects and bid opportunities.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid submissions, proposals, scopes of work, and supporting cost documentation.
  • Clearly identify assumptions, exclusions, qualifications, and potential risks associated with project estimates.
  • Review final estimates for accuracy and completeness before submission.
  • Support revisions to estimates when project requirements, specifications, or scope changes occur.
  • Assist with pricing adjustments and cost comparisons throughout the bidding process.
Project Coordination
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, site personnel, suppliers, subcontractors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Participate in project discussions to clarify scope, requirements, specifications, and cost-related questions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to obtain missing information required to complete accurate estimates.
  • Communicate discrepancies, missing details, and potential cost concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Attend or schedule project-related meetings when required.
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost summaries, bid documents, reports, and estimating records.
  • Maintain organized records of project drawings, specifications, quotations, takeoffs, and supporting documentation.
  • Track revisions and changes that may affect project pricing or scope.
  • Assist in preparing project cost comparisons and reports for management review.
  • Ensure estimating files and project documentation are accurate, organized, and accessible.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, project estimating, quantity surveying, pre-construction, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
  • Strong ability to perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Good understanding of construction materials, labor requirements, subcontractor costs, and general project costing.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and measurement calculations.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and missing information within plans and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed estimating and project documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience estimating residential, commercial, or specialized construction projects.
  • Experience using construction estimating, takeoff, or project management software.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar industry tools.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes and construction standards relevant to assigned projects.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing subcontractor or supplier bid packages.
  • Trade‑specific knowledge or certifications in areas such as general construction, roofing, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or related disciplines.
  • Previous experience working remotely with international construction, architecture, or engineering teams.
