Job summary

Hitachi Plant Services Co., Ltd. in the Philippines is seeking a Mechanical Engineering supervisor to oversee M&E construction activities. You will coordinate with clients to ensure quality, schedule, and compliance with regulations, and manage subcontractors.

Responsibilities include reviewing design objectives, preparing weekly schedules, maintaining records, and reporting progress to consultants and owners. Working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Possess at least a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years of M&E working experience in ACMV/HVAC, service and maintenance of air-con.
• Strong knowledge of M&E details, working drawings and local construction practices.
• Conversant with local codes and regulations.
• Team player with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Timely submission of documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all management levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other IT software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients to supervise the work to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
• Understand design objectives, systems and budgets of projects.
• Coordinate with supplier/sub-contractor for tender specifications and obtain quotations.
• Check equipment and materials for compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Prepare weekly work schedules and documents.
• Ensure proper execution of temporary works as planned.
• Control and supervise workers and subcontractors to meet standards of performance, time, cost and safety.
• Oversee junior supervisors under supervision.
• Keep daily work records, including additional work claims to clients and subcontractors.
• Prepare progress reports to consultants and owners.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned.
