Job summary

SN Aboitiz Power Group is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead development of renewable energy and energy storage projects from concept to construction in the Philippines.

You will coordinate across sponsors, government agencies and contractors, driving business cases, schedules and budgets while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring delivery in line with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of PM/Construction/BD experience, preferably in power sector.
• Experience with regulatory agencies, government bodies and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of large-scale renewable energy and storage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project team through integration of processes, knowledge and people to focus on essentials from screening to construction.
• Align project objectives with sponsor/board strategy and deliver results.
• Evaluate activities pre-conceptualization with executives and leaders for strategic objectives.
• Manage greenfield projects from pre-development to development.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, milestones and deliverables across vendors and contractors.
• Interface with Finance, Legal, Regulatory, and other functions to balance competing stakeholder goals.
• Create and maintain project charter, communications plans and schedules with stakeholders.
• Proactively engage with teams and stakeholders to fulfill project needs.
• Regularly report progress and milestones to management and shareholders.

Purpose

Lead the development of projects within BDP to achieve the project’s objectives and stakeholders, including SNAP shareholders’ expectations, from conceptualization and initiation through project closing, managing the business case development and project life cycle of renewable energy and energy storage projects.

Experience

• At least 5-7 years related working experience in project management, construction management and/or business development, preferably within the power sector (power plants, transmission lines and substations)
• Experience working with regulatory agencies, government and public sector, LGUs, local communities and senior decision makers/shareholders of the company
• Knowledgeable in structure of large-scale renewable energy and energy storage or comparable projects
• Long-distance travel and site management of team members, contractors and stakeholders.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Master’s degree in Project Management (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the project team through integration of processes, knowledge and people to work together to focus on the essentials at the project level from screening phase to feasibility study through to pre-construction/construction phase.
• Work with the project sponsors/shareholders to understand the strategic objectives and ensure alignment of the project objectives and results.
• Evaluate and analyze activities prior to project conceptualization and initiation, including consulting with management executives and business/functional unit leaders on ideas for advancing strategic objectives.
• Manage greenfield projects, from pre-development to development in accordance with industry standards.
• Manage project budget, schedules, milestones and deliverables of projects, including external consultants, vendors and contractors.
• Interface with business/functional groups involved in the project (e.g., Finance, Supply, Legal, Regulatory, etc.) and use soft skills (e.g., interpersonal skills and the ability to manage people) to balance the conflicting and competing goals of project stakeholders in order to achieve consensus in terms of relevant stakeholders supporting the project decisions and actions.
• Create, maintain and adhere to the project charter and communications plans and schedules with stakeholders, including the project team and sponsors.
• Proactively interact with the project team, stakeholders and other functional (enabling) groups that may impact and fulfill the various needs of the project.
• Regularly report project progress and milestones to management and shareholders, including stakeholders.
• Seek ways to develop relationships that assist the project team in achieving the goals and objectives.
• Maintain a strong advocacy role within the organization.

• Support in the implementation of Integrated Management Systems (Quality, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, and Asset) and compliance to regulatory requirements
• Participate in the different programs of the organization
