Job summary

WSP is looking for a BIM/MEP CAD specialist to deliver high-quality drawing documentation for MEPF services, with QA oversight and team leadership. The role involves producing BIM models in Revit, coordinating with BIM Coordinators and engineers in Manila, and ensuring adherence to CAD/BIM standards.

The candidate will switch to AutoCAD as needed, prepare plant room layouts and coordinated service drawings, and help set priorities with project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Working towards engineering registration within jurisdiction.
• Typically, 4–8 years experience.
• Developing 3D Revit Skills.
• Demonstrated ability to apply company standards, BIM Protocol and Process.
• Ability to prepare 2D Revit documentation with company standards and BIM Protocol.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality drawing documentation of MEPF services with QA and team management.
• Coordinate with BIM Coordinator, Manila engineers, counterpart engineers and BIM Manager.
• Produce BIM Models for Mechanical, Electrical and PH services using Revit MEP; agree drawing strategy and numbering with project engineer.
• Switch to AutoCAD for design drawings when priority requires.
• Prepare plant room layouts, sections, details and coordinated services drawings.
• Set priorities and deadlines for drawing/model production with Project Engineer/CAD Manager.
• Input to the coordination of engineering services on projects.
• Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers’ sketches and convert to coordinated building details.
• Discuss and agree setting out and building services details with the team.
• Complete design sketches for tender documents for small/routine work.
• Adhere to specified CAD standards and BIM protocol; contribute to QA and document control.

Input to the co-ordination of engineering services on projects.

Develop general arrangement drawings from engineers sketches and other design team member drawings and details and develop sketches into coordinated building details.

Discuss and agree setting out and building services details with other members of the team.

Complete design sketches for information in tender documents for small/routine work.

Produce work to specified WSP CAD standards, suggest revisions to standards as appropriate.

• Use template for CAD/BIM work and use CAD/BIM library items to assist design work.
• Shares knowledge and best practices to their teammates, when necessary.
• Follow QA, document control, archiving & CDM guidelines on all work.
• Work with project team members on specified aspects of the project.
• Ensuring all relevant standards and guides are used in accordance with WSP QA processes.

Experience, Capabilities & Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or equivalent
• Working towards engineering registration within jurisdiction.
• Typically, 8 years experience,
• Ability to undertake key technical tasks independently across a broad range of small to medium profile projects.
• Developing 3D Revit Skills
• Demonstrated ability to apply company standards, BIM Protocol and Process.
• Ability to prepare to do 2D revit documentation with company standards and BIM Protocol
• Developing communication skills (Written and Oral communication) with peers, Team Leaders, Manager and Client
• Developing capacity to deliver best client outcomes/options which have saved the client cost/time.
