Job summary

Mary Grace Foods, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Design Officer to own design creation and execution for store openings, renovations, and expansions. You will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of complete project requirements.

The role focuses on CAD drawings, renderings, and detailed design proposals for cafes, kiosks, and commissaries, with site visits and regulatory coordination as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• Licensed Architect with 5+ years in Retail/Residential/Commercial Design up to Construction Management.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion/V-Ray or similar, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Willing to travel for site visits and inspections.
• Can start ASAP at ARCA South, Taguig City.

Responsibilities

• Identifies projects’ needs and prepares feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Produces CAD drawings and renderings and color boards for Cafes, Kiosk and Commissary designs.
• Manages projects by executing approved designs and guides partner contractors.
• Gathers measurements and performs design layout calculations for drawings.
• Uses CAD software and manual drawing to produce architectural plans for management approval.
• Ensures layouts meet codes and standards, and coordinates with stakeholders for timely delivery.
• Prepares permits/plans and coordinates with environmental permit requirements and WWTP plans.
• Liaises with local government agencies to meet regulatory requirements.

Job description

We're looking for a Sr. Design Officer who will be taking ownership of exciting projects, covering mainly our store opening/renovation/expansion projects among others! They will be focusing on design creation and execution and coordinate with multiple stakeholders and partners for smooth operations.

• Identifies projects’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals.
• Produces CAD drawings and renderings, as well as color boards, to develop specific and precise designs for Cafes, Kiosk and Commissary that can then be discussed with management.
• Manages projects by executing approved designs and manages & guides partner contractors on adherence.
• Gathers the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts.
• Uses CAD software and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans for management approval.
• Ensures all measurements and calculations are correct & gathers necessary information to perform dimensional and routine calculations for drawings and design layouts.
• Ensures all vital information and documentation is recorded and maintained.
• Specifies important details for projects such as cost estimates, materials, and assumed construction duration.
• Ensures that all layouts and blueprints meet the required codes and legal standards.
• Conducts site visits to check on project status and execute necessary adjustments.
• Ensures the timely delivery of complete project requirements in order to meet project deadlines.
• Creates progress reports and regularly provides update to stakeholders.
• Conducts punch listing for proper turnover together with project partners.
• Prepares requisitions of necessary items, request for payment, and work completion report and endorses to Project Head and Top Management.
• Regularly coordinates with Contractors, Project Management Head, and Support & Operations Team.
• Prepares necessary permits and plans needed.
• Coordinates with point persons on environmental permit requirements and WWTP plans.
• Liaises to local government agencies in order to meet regulatory requirements.
• Performs other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the immediate head.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a Licensed Architect
• With at least 5 years of experience in Retail/Residential/Commercial Design up to Construction Management (Please have your Portfolio/Sample Work ready for presentation; Experience in Retail/Restaurant design-construction (owner side) is an advantage
• Proficient with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion/V-Ray or similar, and Adobe Photoshop
• Proficient with MS Office and Instant Messaging applications.
• Willing to travel to different locations for site visits and inspections.
• Can start ASAP in our corporate office located at ARCA South, Taguig City.
