Job summary

OSM Manufacturing Philippines Corp. is seeking an Operations Supervisor to translate production schedules into accurate picking tasks and ensure a smooth materials flow from the warehouse to the kitting area. You will supervise a small team, train staff, and optimize kit presentation for faster assembly.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing or warehousing, with 1–2 years in a supervisory position, and strong ERP/MRP/WMS knowledge. Proficiency in Excel and lean principles is essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time kitting progress and address shortages or delays to prevent assembly line starvation.
• Supervise, train, and mentor material handlers, overseeing shift schedules and daily labor allocation based on production volume.
• Perform routine quality checks on completed kits to ensure 100% component accuracy against the BOM before delivery to the floor.
• Collaborate with engineering and assembly supervisors to improve how kits are presented to the assembly line for speed.

Job description

• Act as the liaison between the main warehouse and the production floor to guarantee a continuous, timely flow of raw materials into the kitting staging area.
• Monitor real-time kitting progress, immediately addressing any shortages or delays to prevent assembly line starvation.
• Supervise, train, and mentor material handlers, overseeing shift schedules, break rotations, and daily labor allocation based on production volume.
• Perform routine quality checks on completed kits to ensure 100% component accuracy against the engineering Bill of Materials (BOM) before delivery to the floor.
• Work with engineering and assembly supervisors to improve how kits are physically presented to the assembly line to maximize worker speed.

Job Qualifications

Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills)

• Preferred: Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related business field.
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or materials management.
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years in a direct supervisory or team lead role managing hourly employees.
• Deep understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), MRP (Material Requirements Planning), or WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team, resolve conflicts, and drive accountability without relying solely on punitive measures.
• High capacity to work under pressure, swiftly shifting priorities to manage urgent, unexpected assembly line shortages.
• Practical understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S workplace organization, and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables) for tracking metrics, reporting, and analyzing inventory data.
