General Description of the Function

• Primarily responsible for supervising production in the following sections: finishing (sanding, painting and technical finish); quality check (in-house and outsourced); design and product development (handles a team of CAD operators, designers, sample makers). Responsible for scheduling and monitoring production items to meet production schedules on time with the right quality and at the least possible cost.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan materials/requirements to ensure continuous flow of work in the production line.
• Monitor work in process, parts and components scheduled for shipment.
• Conduct process reviews and check specifications of each item.
• Develop and recommend systems and procedures to ensure efficient flow of items.
• Organize the first production run on new items to minimize production delays due to quality problems.
• Coordinate the activities of the production section to ensure timely completion of the desired volume.
• Establish standard man-hours and material requirements for each production operation.
• Lead and manage a team of subordinates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of engineering or related courses; college level with experience in the industry may be considered.
• 2-4 years of working experience in production or manufacturing is an advantage.
• Sense of urgency; willingness to take responsibility; ability to work with minimal supervision.
