Job summary

Nikkoshi Philippines Corporation in Laguna, Biñan is seeking an Engineer to analyze yield across production segments and drive corrective actions.

You will lead improvement activities using QC tools and experimental design, train operators, and present findings to management.

Candidates should have a engineering degree and at least 2 years in manufacturing; experience with 5S and problem solving is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing firm.
• Knowledge or experience in basic QC tools and problem solving is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze yield by each Segment in the production line.
• Set action plans for immediate correction of yield fluctuation and report to Production Manager.
• Conduct improvement activities for top defects on a Segment.
• Apply methodologies such as Process Analysis, Defect mapping, C and E Analysis, Regression Analysis, Design of Experiment, Mistake Proofing, and other problem-solving methods.
• Initiate productivity improvement activities: time and motion study, man-machine chart analysis, and process flow optimization for the STU.
• Conduct cost improvement activities: material and labor cost analysis.
• Collaborate with Process Engineering and/or Machine Engineering on related issues.
• Design 5S in work cell and other production areas.
• Train operators to improve methods and/or re-orientation, and prepare presentations for large audiences.
• Perform other activities as assigned by Production Manager.
