Job summary

Allegro MicroSystems is seeking a Technical Training Specialist to design, implement, and champion production training programs in a highly regulated semiconductor environment.   • Proven experience conducting technical training and managing training logistics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of quality frameworks such as IATF 16949 or ISO 9001.
  • Ability to write exams and design training materials from engineering specs.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills for coaching diverse groups.
  • Excellent tracking and records management to maintain zero-gap certification histories.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and deliver technical skills training courses and lesson plans for production personnel.
  • Administer and maintain certification and recertification programs for production staff with exams.
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to translate operations into training specs.
  • Monitor trainee progress and program effectiveness, and produce management reports.
  • Maintain training histories, certification records, manuals, and training aids under document control.
  • Provide mentoring to new hires during onboarding and training lifecycle.
  • Stay updated on new learning trends and equipment to keep training modern and effective.

What You Will Do


  • Program Development & Delivery:Develop, implement, and deliver technical skills training courses and lesson plans for production personnel. You will conduct interactive classroom lectures, hands‑on group sessions, and practical demonstrations.

  • Certification & Governance:Administer and maintain the certification and recertification programs for production staff. You will design, review, and continually update written, online, and practical exams to verify technical competency.

  • Needs Assessment & Collaboration:Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to conduct thorough needs assessments, translate operational requirements into robust training specifications, and disseminate work instruction changes quickly to the manufacturing floor.

  • Metrics & Compliance:Monitor, track, and evaluate the progress of trainees and program effectiveness. You will generate comprehensive reports for management and ensure all learning and development processes comply with strictIATF 16949quality standards.

  • Record & Resource Management:Maintain meticulously organized training histories, physical and digital certification records, training manuals, and physical training aids under strict document control.

  • Employee Mentorship:Conduct counseling sessions to address workmanship discrepancies or behavioral challenges of new hires during their onboarding and training lifecycle.

  • Continuous Innovation:Stay updated on emerging learning trends, new manufacturing equipment, and advanced processes to keep training methodologies modern, engaging, and impactful.


What You Will Bring


  • Educational Foundation:A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Engineering, or a related technical/scientific field (or equivalent practical manufacturing training experience).

  • Instructional Expertise:Proven experience conducting technical training, developing lesson plans, and managing training logistics in a manufacturing environment (semiconductor or automotive experience is highly preferred).

  • Standards & Quality Alignment:Strong understanding of training compliance within quality frameworks such asIATF 16949or ISO 9001.

  • Technical Curriculum Design:Demonstrated ability to perform training needs analyses, write technical exams, and design clear training materials from engineering specifications.

  • Exceptional Communication:Outstanding presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the empathy and patience required to coach and mentor diverse learning groups.

  • Organization & Detail‑Oriented:Exceptional tracking and administrative skills to maintain zero‑gap certification records and historical databases.
