Job summary

Vertiv Co in Manila, Philippines is seeking a Software Developer, DevSecOps to join our security-driven development team. You will understand complex IT systems, embedded devices, applications, and cloud environments, staying current with security standards and protocols.

You will detect threats, improve products, and collaborate with regional and global engineering teams to strengthen secure software practices and CI/CD processes. A strong communicator with knowledge of OWASP SAMM is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science or related Engineering field is highly desirable.
• Total 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in Software Development, Coding (OOPS, C++), DevOps and CI/CD.
• Advanced security qualifications such as CISSP, CEH or equivalent are ideal.
• Good working knowledge of current Software Development environments, IT risks and security solutions.
• Ability to interact with cross-functional personnel to enforce security measures.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Security Engineer to work in development and operations activities daily.
• Support building tools and processes for the business and for engineering teams through software development skills and coding practices (OOPs encouraged).
• Code management and maintenance through DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Thorough GitLab usage and maintenance for daily activities tracking, source code management, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Support internal security team efforts and cross-functional activities.
• Act as a primary point of contact for regional engineering teams for secure best practices and processes.
• Follow internal product security program and vulnerability management processes.
• Mentor juniors within the team and provide support.
• Regional and Global support activities.
