Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing/Process Engineer to act as the technical owner for assigned product lines and drive lifecycle governance. You will manage BOMs, master data, ECOs and changes within SAP, while aligning with quality, production and customer requirements.

The role emphasizes Lean/Six Sigma, process validation, and cross-functional collaboration on NPI and transfers. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing or process engineering, familiarity with extrusion,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, product/process engineering or industrialization.
• Experience in extrusion, injection molding, cable, plastics, automotive or related industries preferred.
• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical owner for assigned product lines.
• Maintain product specifications, technical drawings, standards, and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage BOMs, product master data, and engineering documentation within ERP systems.
• Lead product qualification, product changes, and ECOs.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and product transfer projects.
• Act as technical liaison between customers, commercial, production and quality teams.
• Provide technical analysis and resolutions for product-related issues and non-conformances.
• Ensure compliance with customer specs, industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Define and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure safe, efficient, repeatable production.
• Develop and maintain process parameters, routings, work instructions, control plans and SOPs.
• Monitor process capability and implement improvements to reduce variation, scrap and downtime.
• Conduct process validation activities for new products, equipment, tooling and methods.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support equipment selection, commissioning, qualification and acceptance activities.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Production and Quality to improve OEE.
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and productivity initiatives.
• Perform process capability studies and statistical analyses.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination and efficiency improvements.
• Participate in Value Stream Mapping, 5S and operational excellence programs.
• Support digitalization and automation initiatives where applicable

• Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, waste elimination, and efficiency improvements.


• Participate in Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and operational excellence programs.


• Support digitalization and automation initiatives where applicable

Quality & Compliance

• Support Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and compliance activities.


• Develop and maintain Process FMEAs, Control Plans, Risk Assessments, and Process Flow Diagrams.


• Participate in internal, customer, and third-party audits.


• Ensure product and process documentation remains accurate, current, and audit-ready.


• Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).


• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable management system requirements.

Health, Safety & Environment

• Ensure all engineering activities comply with company Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements.


• Conduct risk assessments for new processes, products, equipment, and materials.


• Support safe work practices and continuous improvement of workplace safety performance.


• Participate in incident investigations and implementation of preventive measures.


• Promote sustainability and environmental compliance within production processes.

QUALIFICATION:

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, product engineering, process engineering, or industrialization roles.


• Experience supporting product development, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Experience in manufacturing environments such as extrusion, injection molding, cable, plastics, automotive, or related industries is preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and manufacturing processes.


• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.


• Knowledge of BOM management, routings, and engineering change management.
