Job summary

Changan Automobile Philippines is seeking a Market Research and Product Planning professional to support local strategy, with responsibilities spanning market analysis, reporting, and roadmap development.

You will monitor automotive regulations, pursue MCMC and VTA certifications, and coordinate compliance activities, leveraging a background in vehicle engineering or marketing and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Fluency in English is required and Chinese language ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Vehicle Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, PM, or related field; automotive background preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience; local market product planning is an advantage.
• Strong analytical skills in market analysis, product planning, and business reporting.
• Proficient with office software; Tableau or similar analytics tools a plus.
• Understanding of automotive regulations, certification processes, and compliance requirements preferred.
• Strong English communication; Chinese language ability is an advantage.

1. Market Research

• Conduct PESTEL analysis of the local market, covering political, economic, social, and technological factors.
• Collect and evaluate data on the automotive industry, including market size, competitive landscape, consumer demand, and emerging trends.
• Prepare regular market research reports to support company strategy and decision-making.

2. Product Planning

• Develop a 3-year product planning roadmap for local, aligned with CHANGAN’s global product strategy, based on market demand, competition, and user insights.

3. Product Certification & Compliance

• Research and monitor automotive-related laws, regulations, and policies in local; develop response strategies to ensure compliance.
• Manage and follow up on product certification processes, including MCMC certification and VTA type approval, to ensure timely approvals and implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Vehicle Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, Project Management, or related fields. Background in automotive manufacturing and marketing is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience; prior involvement in product planning for the local market is an advantage.
• Proficient in market analysis, product planning, and business reporting.
• Skilled in office software; familiarity with Tableau or similar analytical tools is a plus.
