Job summary

Dyson seeks an enthusiastic Mechanical/Aerospace/Mechatronics engineer to join its Technology Systems Engineering Team. You will create and implement advanced technology to develop high-quality, reliable products while collaborating across cross-functional teams to integrate new research into final designs.

The role requires at least two years post-graduation experience, a strong interest in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics, and CFD experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Two years of relevant work experience after graduation.
• Interest and experience in fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
• Hands-on experience building components/systems is a bonus.
• Experience in CFD simulations.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement great technology to produce high quality, reliable products that meet all performance and functional criteria.
• Continuously improve experimental techniques and design methodologies to enhance capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technology research into final product designs.
• Proactively resolve engineering problems and validate solutions using appropriate test methods.
• Follow Dyson methodologies and best engineering practices to ensure robust design solutions are delivered on time, on spec, on cost, on quality.
• Ensure effective communication with all relevant teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare and participate in design, technical, and research reviews as required.
• Conduct experimental validation and/or simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD, 1-D, system, mathematical modelling), analyse results, and document findings.
• Take ownership of defining, capturing, and documenting relevant requirements for technology and performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across cross-functional teams from initiation to completion.
• Interpret data to support informed decision-making and project direction.
• Mentor junior engineers, provide technical direction, and lead discussions on technical deliverables.
