Powertown is hiring a Software Engineer to maintain BESS, the centralized platform that drives the company’s processes, from projects to documents and decisions. You will build internal tools to accelerate a serious team, focusing on the product's underlying logic and the user experience.

The role emphasizes prototyping quickly, thoughtful design, and systems that improve information access, trust, and action.

Qualifications

• Preferred majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a similarly rigorous technical field.
• Ideal candidate: product-minded builder with real engineering depth and strong UI/UX intuition
• Ideal candidate: ability to sit with an ambiguous problem, reduce to its core, and build the first version quickly
• Ideal candidate: taste for workflow, data modeling, and usefulness of product

Responsibilities

• Execute the product roadmap for internal tooling and member experience portals for Powertown
• Design the hidden logic that makes the product feel simple
• Create systems that make information easier to find, trust, and act on
• Own the feature space for Powertown’s site prospecting process
