Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software troubleshooting and technical support or related field.
• Knowledge of industrial network architectures and communication protocols used in automation and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose issues with Emerson's AMS products under Machinery Health Management portfolio with global customers and product support teams.
• Perform remote diagnostics to investigate and replicate software and hardware issues to accelerate resolution.
• Serve as SME for AMS products and contribute insights for future product innovation.
• Develop Knowledge Base Articles and technical content to support field teams and global technical support.
• Deliver training sessions for new product releases to keep teams up-to-date.
• Provide data-driven feedback to Marketing and Technology teams based on customer use cases and enhancement needs.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer systems, networking, automation protocols, and communication tools.
• Promote customer loyalty and collaborate with key customers to understand long-term needs.

Job Summary:

As a Product Engineer, you will help advance our Machinery Health Management solutions that support Emerson's vision for Boundless Automation. In this role, you will collaborate with our global teams to provide technical expertise, enhance customer experience, and influence product innovation across software used in predictive maintenance, industrial automation, and condition monitoring. You will work closely with customers and internal partners to troubleshoot, diagnose, and improve our solutions while contributing to strategic initiatives that strengthen product performance and reliability.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Partnering with global customers and product support teams to diagnose issues and ensure successful use of Emerson's AMS products under the Machinery Health Management portfolio.
• Conducting remote diagnostics to investigate and replicate software and hardware application issues, helping accelerate issue resolution.
• Serving as a subject matter expert for AMS products and contribute insights that fuel future product innovation.
• Developing Knowledge Base Articles and technical content to support field teams and global technical support.
• Delivering training sessions for new product releases to equip teams with up-to-date knowledge and skills.
• Providing data‑driven feedback to Marketing and Technology teams based on customer use cases and enhancement needs.
• Demonstrating technical proficiency in computer systems, networking, automation protocols, and communication tools.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• BS/MS in Chemical, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, or other Engineering and any related field.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in software troubleshooting and technical support, or related field.
• Knowledge of industrial network architectures and communication protocols used in automation and telemetry.
• Familiarity with networks, database applications, virtual machines, and web‑based applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Skill in resolving system issues in operational environments and adjusting communication appropriately for various audiences.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Experience with condition monitoring or predictive maintenance solutions is a plus.
• Knowledge of—or hands‑on experience with—Machinery Health Management products such as AMS Machine Works, AMS Machinery Manager, AMS 6500 ATG, AMS 6500, AMS Asset Monitor, AMS Wireless Vibration Monitors, AMS 9420, or AMS 2140 will be an advantage.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills in both in‑person and virtual environments.
