Emerson is seeking a Salesforce Data Steward to drive data quality, governance, and stewardship across the Salesforce ecosystem, enabling trusted data for business performance and digital transformation. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to define standards, support data migration and cleansing, and ensure alignment with global reporting and security requirements.

Preferred credentials include Salesforce Data Cloud certification, plus Salesforce Administrator or Platform App

• Support business readiness by training users and documenting expectations.

If you are a Salesforce Data Steward professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this is an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will help drive data quality, governance, and stewardship across Emerson's Salesforce ecosystem, ensuring trusted and actionable data that supports business performance, customer success, and digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams to establish standards, improve data integrity, and support scalable data management practices that enable informed decision-making and operational excellence.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Lead assigned data workstream activities and coordinate with the Core Team to ensure Salesforce data requirements are understood, prioritized, delivered, validated, and documented.

• Translate business process needs into clear data requirements, field definitions, validation expectations, migration rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Support data migration, cleansing, enrichment, deduplication, validation, and cutover readiness activities across implementation waves.

• Coordinate data issue triage, root-cause analysis, ownership assignment, remediation tracking, and closure reporting.

• Maintain data dictionaries, field inventories, decision logs, standards documentation, and stewardship artifacts for assigned domains.

• Ensure assigned Salesforce data remains aligned to data quality, data security, data compliance, and global reporting standards.

• Serve as arbiter for data model, field, and definition changes that impact global standards, reporting definitions, integrations, or cross-Business Group consistency.

• Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, field-level governance rules, required values, ownership rules, and quality thresholds.

• Monitor data quality metrics, identify recurring issues, and drive remediation with business owners, technical teams, and Data Cloud Hygiene leadership.

• Collaborate with Integration leads to validate data flow integrity, transformation rules, source-of-truth decisions, and downstream reporting impacts.

• Partner with the Data Cloud Hygiene Manager on compliance reporting, audit support, data retention considerations, masking requirements, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Support business readiness by explaining standards, training users, documenting expectations, and reinforcing stewardship practices.

• Escalate unresolved data conflicts, quality risks, or standards exceptions through the appropriate governance forums.

You are detail-oriented without losing the broader business context, and can see how a field definition, duplicate record, or data model change may affect reporting, integration, security, and user adoption. You collaborate effectively with business users and technical teams, communicate requirements clearly, and help resolve data conflicts in a constructive, standard-driven way. You are persistent in improving data quality because you understand that trusted data is foundational to Northstar success.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Experience with Salesforce data models, schema design concepts, object relationships, field definitions, validation rules, and reporting impacts.

• Experience with data quality tools, data profiling, duplicate management, monitoring, issue tracking, and remediation workflows.

• Knowledge of data migration and ETL concepts, including mapping, transformation, cleansing, enrichment, validation, and cutover support.

• Knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud fundamentals and how stewardship decisions affect identity resolution, segmentation, reporting, and AI readiness.

• Experience using SQL, Excel, reporting, or analytical tools to profile data, investigate quality issues, and validate remediation.

• Knowledge of data privacy, security, compliance, access control, and audit support concepts.

• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and discipline in documenting decisions and standards.

• Experience collaborating across business and technical teams, with the ability to explain data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to resolve conflicts when data standards, field definitions, or ownership expectations differ across teams.

• Demonstrated process orientation and follow-through on issue remediation, migration readiness, and quality improvement actions.

• Ability to escalate risks clearly and constructively through governance channels when standards or delivery outcomes are at risk.

• Salesforce Data Cloud certification required.

• Certification in Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, data quality, MDM, analytics, or business analysis.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Data Management, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data management, data stewardship, data quality, business analysis, data migration, or enterprise systems roles.

• Experience working with Salesforce data models, field governance, data migration, data quality controls, or CRM data operations.

• Ability to document clear data standards, definitions, rules, requirements, and issue-resolution processes.

• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with attention to detail and process discipline.

• Experience in manufacturing or industrial data management.

• Experience with Salesforce-to-ERP data synchronization.

• Knowledge of Master Data Management and enterprise customer/master data programs.

• Experience supporting multi-org Salesforce data governance.

• Experience supporting Salesforce data migration, consolidation, enrichment, or global template programs.

• Willingness and ability to travel globally up to approximately 10–20%.
