Job summary

GECO Asia Pte. Ltd seeks a proactive Procurement Practice Specialist with Korean language proficiency to support sourcing projects across the Source-to-Contract lifecycle.

You will shape category strategies, perform supplier and market analyses, and negotiate agreements while leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and accuracy. You will collaborate with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and contribute to business development, continuous improvement, and knowledge

Qualifications

  • 5–7 years in strategic sourcing, category management, or procurement consulting.
  • Experience with supplier management, category strategy, sourcing events, evaluations, and negotiations.
  • Experience across multiple spend categories is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Execute sourcing initiatives across the Source-to-Contract lifecycle, including RFx events and contract execution.
  • Develop category strategies and sourcing pipelines using market intelligence and supplier research.
  • Perform financial and commercial analysis of supplier proposals and contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, and service improvement.
  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to align with procurement objectives.

Procurement Practice Specialist with Korean Language Proficiency

Language Requirements
  • Korean: Minimum C1 level proficiency, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) or equivalent.

  • C1-C2: Fluent to near-native proficiency.

  • English: Conversational proficiency is required, as successful hires may also be expected to support activities and stakeholders using English.

Job Summary | You Are

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Practice Specialist with strong strategic sourcing and procurement experience and C1-level Korean language proficiency to support sourcing projects across the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle.

In this role, you will leverage your procurement expertise, analytical skills, business judgment, and stakeholder management capabilities to support sourcing initiatives and deliver measurable business value. You will contribute to the development of sourcing strategies, supplier and market analyses, sourcing events, negotiations, and contract execution while ensuring alignment with client objectives around cost, quality, service, and risk.

You will also be encouraged to leverage AI and digital tools to streamline procurement workflows, improve efficiency and accuracy, and accelerate sourcing outcomes.

As an emerging advisor, you will collaborate with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional teams while contributing to business development initiatives, continuous improvement, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Key Responsibilities | The Work
  • Execute sourcing initiatives across the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle, including supplier outreach, RFx events, supplier evaluation, negotiations, award recommendations, and contract execution.

  • Develop and support category strategies, roadmaps, and sourcing pipelines using market intelligence, supplier research, and financial and commercial analyses.

  • Conduct financial and commercial analysis of supplier proposals, pricing, and contracts to support negotiation strategies and optimize sourcing outcomes.

  • Evaluate suppliers and market conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings, risk mitigation, quality improvement, and service enhancement.

  • Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing activities are aligned with business requirements and procurement objectives.

  • Champion the responsible use of AI and digital tools, including enterprise-approved AI assistants, to streamline workflows, enhance reporting, improve analysis, and accelerate sourcing delivery.

  • Contribute to market intelligence and thought leadership by synthesizing industry research, supplier insights, and cross-client learnings into actionable recommendations.

  • Support business development activities, including contract assessments, due diligence, business case development, proposal support, and case studies.

  • Mentor peers and junior team members in sourcing execution, stakeholder engagement, procurement best practices, AI literacy, and category expertise.

  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes, sourcing methodologies, and supplier engagement.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to multiple customer locations, as required.

Qualifications & Experience
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
  • 5-7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement consulting, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, category strategy, sourcing events, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiations.

  • Experience working with key suppliers and managing sourcing initiatives across multiple spend categories is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of the Source-to-Contract (S2C) lifecycle and procurement best practices.

Korean Language Proficiency
  • Minimum C1 Korean language proficiency based on CEFR or equivalent.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Korean-speaking stakeholders and suppliers in a professional business environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Korean.

AI & Digital Literacy
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively and responsibly in day-to-day work.

  • Candidates with Source-to-Contract experience are welcome even without prior hands-on experience using AI tools. Candidates without direct AI experience should demonstrate the ability and willingness to adopt new technologies and methods that improve speed, quality, and risk management in sourcing and contracting.

  • Ability to use enterprise-approved AI assistants to support core S2C activities while applying sound judgment and appropriate quality controls.

  • Ability to translate business objectives into clear prompts and refine AI-generated outputs to produce accurate and usable results.

  • Consistently validate AI-generated outputs against source data, policies, and stakeholder requirements.

  • Ability to prepare and structure documents for effective AI processing, including reformatting tables, removing tracked changes, converting scanned documents/PDFs, and adding appropriate context and headers.

  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.

  • Experience conducting financial and commercial analysis of supplier proposals, pricing, and contracts.

  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.

  • Advanced degrees and professional certifications such as CPSM or MCIPS are preferred.
