Job Description
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for direct material categories supporting manufacturing operations.
- Lead supplier selection, RFQ processes, commercial negotiations, and contract management activities.
- Build and manage relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and supply continuity.
- Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives through effective supplier management and sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Planning, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support business objectives.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) programs through supplier engagement and sourcing activities.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans where necessary.
- Analyze market conditions, pricing trends, and supply risks to support sourcing decisions.
- Develop contingency plans and risk mitigation strategies for critical materials and components.
- Support capacity expansion, product transitions, and operational growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, processes, and governance standards.
- Prepare procurement performance reports, supplier reviews, and cost-saving analysis for leadership teams.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Procurement Manager Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Management, or Supply Chain.
- Strong experience managing direct materials within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Experience sourcing electronic components, engineered products, or technical manufacturing materials is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of supplier performance management and supply continuity planning.
- Experience supporting new product introductions and cross-functional engineering activities.
- Ability to build relationships with both local and international suppliers.
- Strong commercial, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working in a multinational manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar procurement platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
