Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and technical specs.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to compare technical specs and quotations.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent project requirements.
• Willing to coordinate with suppliers and project sites.
• Preferably with construction procurement experience or related procurement.
• Preferably with a valid PRC license.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review Material Requests and other procurement requirements from project sites.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, quantities, and delivery dates.
• Source construction materials, equipment, tools, from qualified suppliers.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Engineers to clarify requirements.
• Identify reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
• Request and compare quotations from at least three suppliers.
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, specs, lead time, payment terms, reliability.
• Maintain and update the supplier database.
• Verify quoted materials meet project specs and standards.
• Prepare quotation comparison sheets and procurement recommendations.

About the role

The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, negotiating, and purchasing construction materials, equipment, tools, and services while ensuring that all purchases meet the required technical specifications, quality standards, quantity, budget, and delivery schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and review Material Requests (MR) and other procurement requirements from project sites
• Review technical specifications, drawings, quantities, and required delivery dates
• Source construction materials, equipment, tools, and other project requirements from qualified suppliers
• Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Engineers to clarify technical requirements
• Search and develop reliable suppliers and manufacturers
• Request and compare quotations from at least three suppliers whenever applicable
• Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, specifications, lead time, payment terms, and reliability
• Maintain and update the supplier database
• Verify that quoted materials comply with project specifications and required standards
• Prepare quotation comparison sheets and procurement recommendations

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment, tools, and technical specifications
