Job description

The Category Manager for Logistics Services manages all procurement activities for assigned logistics, transportation, and freight services, ensuring timely delivery at the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This role develops and executes robust sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and global procurement strategies, while driving full compliance with procurement policies, processes, and procedures across all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Sourcing Strategy & Agile Execution: Develops and executes regional/global logistics sourcing strategies. Identifies savings opportunities and agilely initiates operational projects to improve efficiency, quality, and supply security.
• Negotiation & Value Creation: Conducts end-to-end procurement and negotiations for local volumes, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) in close alignment with stakeholders.
• Risk & Vendor Management: Evaluates and mitigates supply chain risks. Confidently challenges vendors and internal stakeholders to drive optimal performance, value, and accountability.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensures all logistics procurement activities strictly comply with company policies, global reporting standards, ethical codes, and local legal frameworks.
• Team Leadership: Manages, mentors, and develops sourcing specialists, actively addressing team performance and growth needs.

Requirements:

• Graduate of Business, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years in strategic sourcing/supply chain, including at least three (3) years in a management role.
• Must have a strong, established network and connections with transporters, freight forwarders, and vessel providers.
• Must have proven ability to plan dynamically and execute swiftly in a fast-paced, volatile logistics environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills with the confidence to challenge internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize value.
• Proficient in contract management, procurement systems (preferably SAP MM), and local regulatory frameworks (BIR, BOC, DTI, DENR, OH&S).
• Preferably knowledgeable in heavy industry/cement processes and project management tools (PERT/CPM, problem analysis).
