Job summary

Gentherm in Mexico is seeking a Process Engineer to support tooling development for new product launches, validate materials and processes, and prepare required documentation. You will collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, and other departments to deliver tooling and controls, maintain 6S in the engineering area, and drive continuous improvements to productivity.

Minimum qualifications include a degree in Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering and 1 year in the automotive sector;

Qualifications

• University degree in Industrial or Electromechanical Engineering (or in progress).
• 1 year of experience in automotive industry.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; AUTOCAD.
• Knowledge of blueprint interpretation.
• Basic knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the Process Engineer and assist validations of new materials, processes and/or machines; generate required documentation.
• Develop and update tools for new products (templates, fixtures, etc.).
• Develop production attachments prior to PPAP.
• Fulfill tooling management requirements and tooling matrices.
• Receive and identify tooling for new products and/or engineering changes; complete required documentation.
• Deliver tooling and controls to Manufacturing Engineering.
• Provide ongoing improvement projects and productivity analysis.
• Coordinate with Quality and other departments to launch new programs.
