Job summary

Sumitomo Electric Group in the Philippines is seeking an engineer with a background in electronics or mechanical engineering to support FPC/PCB manufacturing processes. The role focuses on tooling design, GD&T, and data management from proto to MP stages, with emphasis on quality improvement and change control.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in a related field and has hands-on experience in CAD, tooling, and manufacturing environments, preferably in automotive or electronics sectors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in related fields (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical, Manufacturing)
• 3+ years in engineering/manufacturing, CAD, tooling or related technical work
• Experience in FPC/PCB manufacturing or automotive preferred
• Understanding FPC/PCB manufacturing from proto to MP
• Knowledge of pattern, die, jig, tray tooling design
• Knowledge of GD&T and mechanical drawing requirements
• Understanding of engineering data management, change control and qualification
• Familiarity with 8D, FMEA, SPC and OCAP basics
