About the role
A Private Nurse provides personalized healthcare services to an individual patient in a home, residential, or private setting. The nurse is responsible for monitoring the patient's health condition, administering medications and treatments, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring the patient's comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key responsibilities
Assess and monitor the patient's physical and mental health condition.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies.
Record and maintain accurate patient medical records and progress notes.
Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the physician or family members.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding when necessary.
Provide wound care, injections, catheter care, and other nursing procedures as ordered by the physician.
Educate the patient and family members on health management and care procedures.
Coordinate with doctors, therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals.
Ensure infection control and patient safety standards are maintained.
Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and provide first aid or emergency care as needed.
About you
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.
Proven nursing experience in hospital, clinic, home care, or private duty nursing.
Knowledge of patient care standards, medical procedures, and emergency response.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional demeanor.
Ability to work independently and maintain patient confidentiality.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is an advantage.
