Lead Associate – Private Equity (Manila | APAC Shift)

The Role

We are seeking a Lead Associate to join our Private Equity team based in Manila. This role focuses on Asia-based primary fund investments and co-investments and is part of a global private equity platform.

As a key member of the team, you will support the sourcing, analysis, and execution of private equity investments, contribute to investment decision-making, develop market insights, and support client-related initiatives.

This role offers exposure to some of the most respected private equity managers globally, providing the opportunity to evaluate performance, assess investment capabilities, and underwrite co-investments. You will collaborate closely with global colleagues, deepen subject matter expertise, and stay actively engaged in financial market developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, analyze, and execute private equity primary funds, secondary opportunities, and co-investments
• Build, run, and maintain financial models and analytical tools
• Prepare investment memoranda and contribute to investment committee discussions
• Conduct market research using financial databases and develop periodic pipeline reports
• Support the continuous development of research methodologies and analytical tools
• Assist in the preparation and presentation of research findings to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in private equity funds or co-investments, gained from an asset manager, endowment, foundation, consultant, or data provider
• Experience in other private market asset classes or public equity will also be considered
• Advanced financial analysis and financial modeling skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in business English
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and results-driven
• Ability to manage a dynamic workload and work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Confident working with stakeholders across levels, functions, and geographies
• Willing to travel moderately as required
• Amenable to APAC shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Manila time) with flexibility for global calls when needed
