Job summary

Microchip Technology is seeking an experienced Principal Test Engineering lead to lead the Sustaining and Enhancement Test Engineering team in the Philippines. This is a hands-on working leadership role managing a team of Test Engineers while remaining actively involved in day‑to‑day test engineering across analog, power, and mixed‑signal semiconductor products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of semiconductor test engineering experience.
• At least 3 years of people management in TE/PE environments.
• Strong platform‑agnostic expertise in Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
• Experience with J750, SPEA, Eagle testers preferred.
• Proficient in advanced statistical methods and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Test Engineers at the Philippines site.
• Set objectives aligned with unit goals and KPIs.
• Coordinate workloads and resource planning across projects.
• Drive test program maintenance, debug, and optimization.
• Enhance test programs to improve yield and throughput.
• Lead ECOs and coordinate with Product Eng and Quality teams.
• Collaborate across Test Operations, Product Eng, and Manufacturing.
• Champion automation and standardized workflows.
