OnebyZero in Makati, Philippines is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer I to design and deliver enterprise-grade AI and data solutions. You will lead architecture across the full solution lifecycle, collaborating with executives and engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable architectures.

You will mentor engineers, drive pre-sales activities, define non-functional requirements, and ensure architectural integrity while advancing AWS-centric patterns and GenAI

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years in software engineering, cloud architecture, or distributed systems.
• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

About the Role

You are an architect who works across the full solution lifecycle — from understanding business problems to designing and delivering scalable, enterprise-grade solutions. You bring deep expertise in cloud architecture combined with strong capabilities across AI/GenAI and/or Data Architecture. You are equally comfortable engaging with executive stakeholders as you are leading deep technical design discussions.

• Lead architecture design sessions and present solutions to stakeholders across technical and business levels
  
• Define non-functional requirements (availability, performance, security, compliance, cost) as core design inputs
  
• Drive architectural trade-offs and decision-making under constraints, ensuring clarity and alignment
  
• Lead or support pre-sales engagements including solution shaping, RFP responses, and client presentations

Requirements

What You'll Bring to the Table

Must-Have Skills:

• 10–15+ years in software engineering, cloud architecture, or distributed systems
  
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end solutions in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
  
• Hands-on implementation background with real-world systems at scale
  
• Experience working with business stakeholders and translating requirements into solutions
  
• Exposure to pre-sales, consulting, or client-facing roles is advantageous
  
• Experience in regulated industries such as BFSI, Telco, or Healthcare is preferred
  
• For senior candidates: experience leading multi-workstream programs and governing architecture across engagements
