Job description

For over 50 years, we have worked closely with investment and asset managers to become the world’s leading provider of integrated investment management solutions. We are 2,800+ colleagues with diverse nationalities, educational backgrounds, professional experiences, and perspectives. SimCorp is an independent subsidiary of the Deutsche Börse Group. After merging with Axioma, we draw on the combined strength of both brands to provide an industry‑leading front‑to‑back solution for our clients, with SimCorp serving as the main company brand and Axioma as a key product brand.

Our Global Delivery Centers are located in Manila (Philippines), Noida (India), Kyiv (Ukraine), Warsaw (Poland), and Mexico City (Mexico). Our platform and ecosystem of partners, services, and third‑party integrations empower us to serve 40% of the world’s top 100 financial companies, providing the efficiency and flexibility they need to succeed.

SimCorp provides clients with a full front‑to‑back offering, whether through a SaaS platform or as an on‑premise solution. Our clients include central banks, sovereign wealth funds, pension and insurance funds, asset managers, fund managers, asset servicers, and wealth managers around the globe.

Platform Automation enables SimCorp’s SaaS delivery model by providing the platforms, services, and automation capabilities required to deliver and operate solutions securely, reliably, and at scale.

This role is part of our Continuous Delivery area, where we build and evolve shared platform capabilities across cloud enablement, infrastructure automation, identity and access management, secrets management, and cloud governance.

Our mission is to reduce operational complexity through standardisation and automation while enabling the continued growth of SimCorp’s SaaS business.

SimCorp is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a culture where diverse perspectives and expertise are integrated into our everyday work.

We encourage employee learning and development so we can provide high‑quality solutions to our clients.

While striving to deliver client value, we believe it is vital to consider our people and our planet in every business decision we make.

Acting responsibly is not optional. It is essential.

Why this role is important to us

As a Product Owner within Platform Automation, you will play a key role in shaping and prioritising the platform capabilities that enable SimCorp’s SaaS business to scale securely, efficiently, and reliably.

Working closely with engineering, architecture, operations, and security stakeholders, you will help shape the evolution of foundational platform capabilities spanning cloud enablement, infrastructure automation, identity and access management, secrets management, and cloud governance.

This is a highly visible role with broad organisational impact.

The services and capabilities you help prioritise are used by multiple engineering teams and play a direct role in how we operate, secure, and scale our SaaS offerings.

You will join a global team spread across Europe and Asia, collaborating with skilled colleagues who focus on automation, cloud technologies, and continuous improvement.

Essential Responsibilities as a Product Owner
  • Translate Strategy into Product Investments: Convert strategic objectives into roadmaps, features, and priorities that deliver measurable business value.
  • Own and Prioritise the Backlog: Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, balancing business needs, operational requirements, risks, and technical dependencies.
  • Drive Stakeholder Alignment: Build alignment across engineering, architecture, security, operations, and business stakeholders to support effective decision‑making.
  • Lead Product Discovery and Refinement: Define requirements, elaborate features, and ensure teams have the necessary context to deliver valuable outcomes.
  • Make Data‑Informed Decisions: Use customer feedback, operational insights, and metrics to evaluate opportunities and guide prioritisation.
  • Lead with initiative and drive better outcomes: Spot opportunities, risks, and gaps, then drive improvements across products, processes, and platform capabilities.
What we value
  • Ownership and Initiative: A resourceful contributor who spots opportunities, risks, dependencies, and improvements early, helps move progress forward, and supports better outcomes before issues arise, using drive to guide action.
  • Strategic Alignment: Able to translate organisational objectives into clear roadmaps, priorities, and product investments.
  • Business Value Focus: Makes sound prioritisation decisions and focuses on outcomes rather than outputs.
  • Stakeholder Management: Builds trust, creates alignment, and navigates competing priorities effectively.
  • Technical Understanding: Comfortable working with engineers and architects on cloud, infrastructure, security, automation, platform services, and SaaS operations. Experience with Microsoft Azure is advantageous.
  • Collaboration and Continuous Learning: Works effectively with teams, openly exchanges knowledge, and keeps expanding skills and domain expertise over time.
  • Vendor Management: Experience working with external technology vendors and partners is a plus. Able to evaluate capabilities, support commercial discussions, and ensure services continue to deliver value to the organisation.
Other Requirements
  • APAC shift hours (may occasionally change to EMEA hours depending on business needs).
  • Hybrid working arrangement (2 days per week in the office).
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to:
  • Become part of a thriving company with collaborative, curious, courageous, and capable colleagues.
  • Explore a wide range of learning and development opportunities supported by our unique Learning Guild.
  • Work alongside highly skilled and supportive colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • Join a company committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, creating a workplace that is inclusive and empowering.
BENEFITS:
  • Attractive salary, bonus scheme, and pension are essential for any work agreement.
  • However, in SimCorp, we believe we can offer more.
  • Therefore, in addition to the traditional benefit scheme, we provide a good work and life balance: flexible working hours and a hybrid workplace model.
  • Simcorp follows a global hybrid policy, asking employees to work from the office two days each week while allowing remote work on other days.
