Job summary

RED Engineering Design is seeking an experienced Licensed Electrical Engineer to support the Team Leader in managing electrical engineering operations. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering engineering design activities across multiple projects within the local office.

You will provide technical expertise, review drawings for quality, and mentor Graduate/Junior Engineers while helping to establish work plans and resource needs for each phase.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer.
• 10+ years of work experience in engineering design industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist Team Leader in planning and coordinating engineering project work and design activities to meet deadlines.
• Provide high level of technical expertise in planning and design of major projects.
• Lead coordination of engineering services on projects within the local office.
• Review drawings to ensure output quality.
• Input work plan and CAD/resource needs for each project phase.
• Outline work plan and assign duties with the RED project team.

Job description

Assist the Team Leader in managing electrical engineering operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for planning and coordinating engineering project work and design activities to ensure that project goals/objectives are accomplished within agreed deadline.
• Provide high level of technical expertise when applying engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of major projects.
• Leads the coordination of engineering services on projects undertaken within the local office.
• Reviewing and checking of drawings to ensure quality of output.
• Assists Discipline Team Leader by inputting into the establishment of work plan and Engineering/CAD resource for each phase of the project.
• Confers with Red project team to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of project design.
• Provides technical advice to local team personnel to ensure a project’s progress on schedule and meet RED project brief requirements.
• Develop and manage electrical engineer training program, review and evaluate personnel performance.
• Provide mentoring to Graduate/Junior Engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Licensed Electrical Engineer
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience in engineering design industry.
