Job summary

GCash, the leading FinTech innovator in the Philippines, seeks an senior IT leader to own cloud strategy and capacity governance. You will shape fleet planning, model capacity needs, and coordinate across cloud platforms with engineers and architects to align with business demand.

The role emphasizes executive stakeholder communication, cost optimization and scalable platform management, leveraging AWS, Azure and Alibaba Cloud in a hybrid/on‑prem environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Cloud Solutions Architect certification.
• 12+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud).
• Hybrid or on-premise exposure with app development is a strong plus.
• Strong background in core infrastructure incl. networks, databases, servers, and automation.

• Cloud Fleet Planning, Forecasting and Governance: establish capacity management standards, optimizations and policies.
• Forecast cloud demand and build capacity fleet models to support business demand.
• Platform Management and Coordination across cloud platforms, architects, and engineers.

Who You’ll Be Working With

If you have a strong background in IT, computer science, or software engineering, and are analytical, technologically savvy, solutions and process-focused, then the Technology & Operations team may be for you!

You Will Be Responsible For

• Cloud Fleet Planning, Forecasting and Governance - establishing and enforcing capacity management best standards, optimizations (e.g., rightsizing, scaling) and policies.
• Forecasting cloud demand and build capacity fleet models that supports business demand.
• Platform Management and Coordination - coordinating across cloud platforms, technical architects, and engineers.
• Commanding technical decisions with consideration to fleet, compliance and cost strategy. Executive Stakeholdership- turning data into clear insights for leadership.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum required certification/s - Cloud Solutions Architect .
• At least 12 years of relevant and proven experience for handling / managing cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Alibaba Cloud) either on a management or Sr. DevOps capability.
• Hybrid or On-premise exposure with Application development exposure is a strong plus.
• Strong background in core infrastructure such as network, database, servers and other automation services focusing on stability, operations and economics.
