Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking an AWS Solutions Architect to design and implement secure, scalable cloud solutions for customers in a fast-evolving technology landscape. You will work with sales and delivery teams to shape cloud strategies and drive successful migrations.

Join a global cloud practice focused on modernization, hybrid adoption, and maximizing AWS investments. Strong emphasis on customer engagement, architecture governance, and hands-on IaC experience.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and delivering AWS cloud solutions including migration and modernization.
• Deep understanding of AWS architecture, security, networking, and governance best practices.
• Hands-on with IaC and automation (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• AWS certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or AWS DevOps Engineer preferred.
• Excellent communication with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design tailored AWS solutions with customers and sales to meet objectives.
• Guide cloud transformation initiatives including data center modernization and hybrid adoption.
• Create secure, scalable architectures aligned with AWS best practices.
• Lead technical discussions, workshops, and responses to proposals/RFPs.

Join our Cloud Services team as an AWS Solutions Architect, where you'll work closely with customers, sales teams, and delivery specialists to design and implement secure, scalable, and modern cloud solutions. This role combines both presales and delivery responsibilities, allowing you to influence customer strategy while ensuring successful solution implementation.

You’ll be part of a highly collaborative cloud practice focused on helping organizations modernize their infrastructure, accelerate cloud adoption, and maximize the value of their AWS investments. Working alongside sales, engineering, and consulting teams, you’ll support customers throughout their cloud transformation journey.

What You'll Do

• Partner with customers and sales teams to understand business objectives and design tailored AWS solutions.
• Guide organizations through cloud transformation initiatives, including data center modernization, cloud migrations, and hybrid cloud adoption.
• Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud architectures aligned with AWS best practices.
• Lead technical discussions, presentations, workshops, and responses to customer proposals and RFPs.
• Provide architectural oversight during project delivery, ensuring successful implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Stay at the forefront of AWS innovation and share technical expertise with customers and internal teams.

What we need to see from you

Strong experience designing and delivering AWS cloud solutions, including migration and modernization initiatives.

Deep understanding of AWS architecture, cloud security, networking, and governance best practices.

Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation) and automation practices.

Knowledge of modern cloud-native technologies, including containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies.

Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders.

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are highly valued.

Nice to Have

Experience with Amazon Connect solutions.

Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and enterprise infrastructure platforms.

Knowledge of scripting and automation technologies such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

Experience with monitoring, observability, and configuration management tools.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications: AWS Associate and/or Professional level certifications are preferred.
