Job Description
Job Overview: The Practice Lead for Microsoft is responsible for defining, scaling, and governing the Microsoft practice across the organization. This role owns the end-to-end Microsoft capability—from strategy and architecture through delivery and optimization—ensuring the platform delivers measurable business value across sales, service, marketing, and digital engagement functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Microsoft practice strategy, roadmap, and operating model aligned with enterprise and client priorities.
- Position Microsoft as a core customer and engagement platform, supporting revenue growth, service excellence, and digital transformation.
- Establish platform standards, architectural principles, and delivery best practices across all Microsoft clouds.
Offering & Capability Development
- Build and evolve Microsoft service offerings including:
- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Experience Cloud
- Industry Clouds and custom Microsoft solutions
- Platform integration, data, and API enablement
- Microsoft modernization, optimization, and managed services
- Define reusable assets, accelerators, reference architectures, and delivery templates.
- Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD, and quality standards within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Delivery Excellence & Governance
- Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of Microsoft programs across accounts and portfolios.
- Establish governance, KPIs, and quality metrics covering platform performance, adoption, and business outcomes.
- Act as escalation point for complex or at‑risk Microsoft initiatives.
- Ensure alignment with Microsoft release cycles, security, and compliance requirements.
Talent & Capability Building
- Build and lead Microsoft teams including architects, developers, administrators, consultants, and QA specialists.
- Define role frameworks, skills taxonomy, certification paths, and learning journeys aligned with Microsoft standards.
- Foster a strong Microsoft community of practice and culture of continuous learning.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business leaders, CIOs, and CRM owners to define Microsoft roadmaps and transformation plans.
- Lead discovery workshops, solution design sessions, and executive briefings.
- Act as a trusted advisor on Microsoft platform strategy, adoption, and value realization.
Commercial Growth & Partnerships
- Support sales and pre‑sales by shaping Microsoft solutions, estimates, and proposals.
- Drive practice revenue growth through new offerings, account expansion, and long‑term managed service engagements.
- Manage strategic relationship with Microsoft, including partner programs, certifications, and co‑selling opportunities.
Requirements
Required
- 12+ years of experience in CRM, enterprise applications, or digital platforms, with at least 5 years in a Microsoft leadership or practice‑building role.
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft platform capabilities and architecture across multiple clouds.
- Proven experience leading large‑scale Microsoft implementations or transformations.
- Experience building and scaling delivery teams and platform practices.
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, or Platform Developer).
- Experience in consulting, systems integration, or technology services organizations.
- Exposure to integration platforms, data platforms, and cloud ecosystems.
- Experience in regulated or enterprise‑scale environments.
