Job summary

Intro Recruitment Asia partners with a multinational engineering design firm in Australia seeking a Power System Engineer to work remotely from the Philippines. The role supports generation, HV transmission and distribution projects within the Electrical Engineering Team.

You will perform power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and Hypersim, coordinate with project staff, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with Australian standards and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 3 years in electrical engineering industry.
• Familiar with engineering codes, regulations, and standards.

• Experience with power system analysis tools listed.

Responsibilities

• Perform and direct power system studies in PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory and Hypersim.
• Manage enquiry, registration, and design phases for HV grid connections and substations.

Job description

A multinational engineering design firm in Australia is seeking currently for a Power System Engineer to work remotely in the Philippines

• work setup; permanent and remote work
• Mon-Friday 6AM-3PM (AU time)

About the Position:

The primary responsibility of this role is to assume technical responsibility and provide consulting services for projects assigned to the Electrical Engineering Team, primarily in the fields of generation, high voltage transmission and distribution, as well as other technical areas as required to support the growth of the business.

Job Description

• Perform and direct activities for power system studies in PSS/E, PSCAD, Powerfactory and Hypersim modelling environments.
• Manage the enquiry, application, registration, and/or design phases for both large energy user and/or renewable energy projects (e.g., HV Grid Connections, substation design, generating plant power system).
• Undertaking site inspections, providing advice, and preparing reports.
• Assisting with planning and scheduling tasks and activities within for the department.
• Developing cost effective engineering solutions.
• Providing engineering / technical advice to engineering team and other project staff involved in the execution of works.
• Ensure designs are reviewed adequately to ensure compliance to relevant Australian Standards, Statutory Requirements, and Client Specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in electrical engineering industry.
• Familiarity with engineering codes, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience with power system analysis tools including PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Hypersim in RMS and EMT environments.
