Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. hires a Product Engineer to bridge design engineering and manufacturing, ensuring PSU products meet performance, quality, and delivery standards from development through production.

Reports to Product Engineering Manager. You will focus on maintaining and enhancing PSU performance, conducting characterization, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting, while collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to drive reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics.
• Hands-on experience in power supply design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, loads, analyzers.
• Experience in PCB design and manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with industry standards for power supply design and testing.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance PSU performance and reliability.
• Characterize PSU performance across operating conditions.
• Calibrate and test power supplies; develop test procedures.
• Troubleshoot failures and perform root-cause analysis.
• Improve designs with component and process updates.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Conduct hardware testing and power modeling.
• Document test results and conclusions.
• Manage change requests for power supply designs.
• Evaluate alternative components to meet specs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
