Job summary

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. is seeking a Product Engineer to bridge design engineering and manufacturing, ensuring PSU products meet performance, quality, and delivery standards from development through full-scale production.

This position reports to the Product Engineering Manager. You will characterize PSU performance, calibrate and test, troubleshoot and perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with design engineers to improve reliability and performance while providing technical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in power electronics.
• Proven track record in hardware engineering.
• Hands-on experience in power supply design, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, loads, analyzers.
• Experience in PCB design, layout, and manufacturing processes.
• Familiar with industry standards and regulatory compliance for power supply design.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Characterize PSU performance across operating conditions.
• Calibrate and test PSU; help develop test procedures.
• Troubleshoot power supplies and perform root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with design engineers to improve reliability and performance.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and customers.
• Conduct hardware testing, signal characterization, and power modeling.
• Write test reports documenting observations, data, and conclusions.
• Evaluate alternative components and manage change requests.
