Role Description

The Power Plant Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in the PAOAY, ILOCOS NORTE Philippines. This role is responsible for monitoring and controlling solar power plant equipment and systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable power generation. Day-to-day tasks include operating plant controls, recording and analyzing performance data, identifying irregularities, and coordinating corrective actions to maintain optimal output. The operator conducts routine inspections, supports preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and adheres to health, safety, and environmental procedures. The role also involves collaborating with technical teams, following operating standards, and providing accurate reports on plant status and incidents.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering
• With 1-2 years experience of Power Plant Operator
• Must have background in monitoring in the SCADA system, where in checking for any faults and alarms
• Knowledgeable in inspection at PV farm (Inverter stations and weather stations)
• Must have idea of IEMOP Nomination and making the Daily Generation Report
• Have background of making/sending the ERC outage report and ERC outage resumption report
• Basic electrical and instrumentation knowledge. Analytical and problem-solving skills
• With good communication skills.
