Job summary

TrendPower Technology Private Limited Taiwan Branch is seeking engineers for BBU and battery energy system development in Hsinchu or Taoyuan, Taiwan (On-site). You will be involved in the full product lifecycle from concept, design, simulation, validation to mass production.

Open positions include Senior Engineer and Engineer roles, with 3+ years and 1+ year of experience respectively. Fresh graduates with strong power electronics background are welcome.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
Hands-on experience in switching power supply design (AC/DC, DC/DC, isolated & non-isolated).
Strong experience in circuit simulation and magnetic component design.
Proficient in PCB design tools (OrCAD, Altium).
Basic understanding of battery systems or power electronics.
Ability to read technical documentation in English.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Drive or support BBU product development and technical issue resolution.
Perform power electronics design, simulation, testing, and validation.
Design high/low voltage DC-DC converters (switch-mode power supply).
Develop Battery Management System (BMS) and battery-related solutions.
System integration, feasibility studies, and technical evaluation.
Define and execute verification & validation test plans.
Support mass production ramp-up and engineering troubleshooting.

Job Location

Your Mission

We are looking for passionate engineers in power electronics and energy systems to join our BBU (Battery Backup Unit) and battery energy system development team.

You will be involved in the full product lifecycle—from concept, design, simulation, validation, to mass production.

Key Responsibilities

Drive or support BBU product development and technical issue resolution

Perform power electronics design, simulation, testing, and validation

Design high/low voltage DC-DC converters (switch-mode power supply)

PFC / LLC / Full-Bridge / Buck / Boost / Buck-Boost topologies

AC/DC and DC/DC converters (isolated & non-isolated)

Experience in DSP-based digital power is a plus

Develop Battery Management System (BMS) and battery-related solutions

System integration, feasibility studies, and technical evaluation

Define and execute verification & validation test plans

Support mass production ramp-up and engineering troubleshooting

Performance Focus

End-to-end ownership from design → validation → pilot run → mass production

High-quality design documentation and test reports (including SOPs)

Continuous technical growth and engineering analysis reporting

Ensure product quality, reliability, and customer requirements compliance

Who We Are Looking For

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related fields

Experience

Senior Engineer: 3+ years in switching power supply design

Engineer: 1+ year of relevant experience

Fresh graduates with strong power electronics background are welcome

Required Skills

Switching power supply design and debugging experience

Strong knowledge of AC/DC, DC/DC converters (isolated/non-isolated)

Proficiency in simulation tools (Simplis / PSIM / Mathcad, etc.)

Magnetic component design and analysis

Experience in WCCA, DFMEA, compensation design

Project management and execution capability

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication and presentation skills

Fast learner with curiosity for new technologies

Strong teamwork and ownership mindset

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field

Hands‑on experience in switching power supply design (AC/DC, DC/DC, isolated & non‑isolated)

Strong experience in circuit simulation and magnetic component design

Familiar with methodologies such as WCCA, DFMEA, and feedback compensator design

Proficient in PCB design tools (OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent)

Basic understanding of battery systems or power electronics

Ability to read technical documentation in English

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams
