We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong experience in building enterprise‑grade dashboards and semantic models, along with foundational knowledge of Microsoft Fabric. The role focuses on delivering scalable, high‑performance analytics solutions by integrating data from Data Lakes and Microsoft Fabric OneLake into Power BI.
The candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to translate business requirements into reliable, secure, and actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards aligned with business KPIs and reporting standards
- Create executive‑ready visualizations following usability, accessibility, and data storytelling best practices
- Build, optimize, and maintain semantic models using Power BI Desktop and Fabric‑enabled datasets
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and hierarchies
- Perform data transformation and shaping using Power Query (M)
- Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including: Azure Data Lake / Data Lake Gen2, Microsoft Fabric OneLake, Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Semantic Models
- Understand and apply Direct Lake, Import, and DirectQuery modes appropriately
- Optimize report and model performance, refresh strategies, and capacity usage
- Implement Row‑Level Security (RLS) and manage workspace/app permissions
- Validate data accuracy and reconcile dashboards with upstream sources
- Collaborate with business and technical teams; conduct requirement discussions and demo sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Advanced understanding of DAX, data modeling, star schema, and performance tuning
- Proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
- Solid experience with Power Query (M) for data preparation
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric concepts, including: OneLake, Lakehouse and Warehouse, Fabric Dataflows Gen2
- Experience accessing data from Data Lakes in Power BI
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and stakeholder engagement
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field
- 3–7+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or reporting roles
