Job summary

Institut Barcelona d'Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant position within the GLOBALEUTY project funded by the European Commission. The appointment is part-time (20 hours/week) and lasts until 14 April 2027, with a starting date of 15 October 2026.

The successful candidate will join IBEI’s vibrant, international research environment. The role involves teaching and research support, audiovisual content production for the project website, and

Qualifications

• PhD in International Relations, or related fields.
• Proven teaching and research experience on the European Union’s foreign policy and on European/international security.
• Strong skills in communication and preferably a proven track record about academic dissemination activities and tailored outreach strategies
• Excellent command of English and Spanish (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Provide teaching support and research assistance to the Chair
• Produce audiovisual material for the GLOBALEUTY website, including the production of thematic podcasts, informative videos, short blogs and commentary on EU foreign policy news reports.
• Participation in outreach events on the topic of EU foreign policy and/or international security.
