Job summary

Universitat de Barcelona, Barcelona, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join the Mucosal Immunology Lab. This fully-funded 2.5-year position focuses on translational research for inflammatory bowel disease.

The selected candidate will lead in vitro studies with primary cells, utilize systems immunology, and collaborate with UB, CRG, CSIC, and OrikineBio to drive biomarker discovery and engineered cytokine-based therapies.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology or closely related field.
• Proven expertise in in vitro functional immunological assays with primary immune cells, protein analytics, and multiparametric flow cytometry.
• Experience with single cell RNA sequencing.
• Experience with project management.
• Advanced written and oral English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct in vitro functional assays using primary cells from IBD patients.
• Apply systems immunology approaches to identify predictive biomarkers of response to treatment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across academia and industry (UB, CRG, CSIC, OrikineBio).
