Job summary

Makati Business Club is seeking a Project Officer to support CongressWatch, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and conduct policy research. You will coordinate stakeholder engagements and maintain the CongressWatch tracker, producing timely updates and concise policy briefs.

You will work with legislators, business associations, and policy experts to strengthen evidence-based advocacy and informed engagement between the private sector and policymakers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science or related field and strong research ability.
• Minimum two years in policy research, legislative monitoring, or advocacy.
• Ability to synthesize complex policy issues into concise summaries.
• Familiarity with Philippine legislative processes and public policy environment.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments relevant to advocacy priorities.
• Track congressional hearings, committee meetings, and policy discussions.
• Maintain the CongressWatch tracker with timely updates.
• Prepare concise policy briefs, summaries, and background papers.
• Coordinate meetings and engagements with legislators, agencies, and partners.
• Support governance committee meetings and policy dialogues.
• Contribute to donor reports and project documentation.
