Key Responsibilities

• Patrolling Assigned Area: Regularly patrol assigned area to ensure public safety and prevent criminal activity. Respond to emergency calls, including accidents, crimes in progress, and public disturbances.
• Crime Prevention and Investigation: Conduct preliminary investigations at crime scenes, gather evidence, document findings, interview witnesses, victims, and suspects, and prepare case files.
• Law Enforcement: Enforce traffic laws, issue citations, and make arrests when necessary. Uphold local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Maintain accurate records of arrests, tickets, and reports.
• Public Interaction: Serve as a community liaison to build trust and foster relationships with the public. Engage with local residents and businesses to identify potential concerns or issues within the community.
• Emergency Response: Respond quickly and efficiently to accidents, injuries, or other emergencies. Administer first aid or CPR when required until medical personnel arrive.
• Court Duties: Appear in court to testify in legal proceedings related to arrests or investigations. Provide accurate and concise testimony based on collected evidence.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies, public safety organizations, and community groups.
• Training and Development: Participate in continuous training to improve skills and stay updated on new laws and procedures. Maintain certifications and qualifications as required by the department.
