Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Transmission Line Design Engineer to join its power transmission engineering team in the region. The role involves design and analysis of overhead transmission lines for utility and renewable energy projects across domestic and international markets.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5–15 years of experience in transmission line engineering, experience with 69 kV–500 kV projects, and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5–15 years of overhead transmission line engineering experience.
• Experience with 69 kV to 500 kV or similar voltage levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to work independently and in international project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform line routing, profile development, and plan & profile drawing preparation.
• Conduct sag-tension calculations and optimize conductor clearances.
• Analyze line geometry considering terrain, environmental constraints, and regulatory requirements.
• Generate construction staking reports, material quantities, and design documentation.
• Coordinate with tower, foundation, survey, and geotechnical engineering teams.
• Review transmission line layouts for constructability and compliance with standards.
• Support design reviews, quality assurance, and engineering documentation.
• Assist in resolving technical issues during detailed engineering and construction.
• Participate in client meetings and interdisciplinary project coordination.
