Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Platform Security Engineer to secure cloud platforms, containerized environments, and software development ecosystems. You will engineer, operate and enhance security capabilities while partnering with DevOps and platform teams.

Responsibilities include CSPM operations, SSDLC security controls, and automation through Python, with a focus on multi-cloud and container security across development workflows.

Qualifications

• Hands-on DevSecOps experience securing cloud platforms and applications.
• Practical cloud security across AWS, Azure or GCP and multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and container security controls.
• Strong Python skills for automation and integrations.
• Familiarity with SSDLC, SAST/SCA, and IaC scanning concepts.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and operate cloud security capabilities across SSDLC.
• Improve CSPM posture, workload protection and config management.
• Support Kubernetes security and container image workflows.
• Develop automation and API integrations for security tasks.
• Create dashboards, runbooks and security documentation.
