Job summary

Ergo Contracts Philippines Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations, maintenance, productivity, and safety of construction plant facilities and equipment.

You will ensure efficient resource use, compliance with safety and environmental rules, and continuous equipment availability for projects. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and maintenance planning capabilities, with experience in supervising plant staff and coordinating with project teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional engineering license preferred where applicable.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in plant operations, equipment management, or construction operations.
  • At least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise all plant operations to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Manage the production, maintenance, and deployment of construction equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor plant performance and implement improvements to optimize operations.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site teams to ensure equipment availability and operational readiness.
  • Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Ensure timely repair and servicing of heavy equipment, vehicles, and plant machinery.
  • Monitor equipment utilization, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance history, and asset performance.
  • Enforce compliance with occupational health and safety standards and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and operational permits.
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and manage plant operating budgets.
  • Monitor expenses related to maintenance, fuel, spare parts, and labor.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining operational effectiveness.
  • Manage procurement of equipment, materials, and services.
  • Lead, train, and supervise plant personnel, mechanics, operators, and support staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare operational, maintenance, and performance reports for management.
  • Analyze plant KPIs and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all plant activities.
