Job summary

Universal Robina Corporation is seeking a Plant Finance Analyst to ensure accurate recording of manufacturing costs across plants, warehouses, and distribution centers. You will analyze TMC, FME, and OPEX, maintain budgets, and ensure GAAP compliance with local statutory requirements.

Responsibilities include supervising Production Controllers, managing process orders, posting accuracy, and preparing management reports (MPR, TMC, OPEX, FME, savings, VPM).

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy graduate; CPA board passer is an advantage.
• At least 3 years experience as Cost Accountant or Plant Accountant in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledgeable in SAP Accounting system.
• MS Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot, SUMIF).
• Requires minimum supervision and is a good team player.
• Detail-oriented with a Continuous Improvement mindset.
• Familiarity with LEAN / AGILE ways of working.
• Willing to be based in Cebu.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Production Controllers to support Plant Finance activities and closing.
• Monitor Process Orders and ensure postings align with closing periods.
• Adhere to Process Order Management Policy.
• Ensure accurate posting dates for SAP movement types.
• Minimize manual journal vouchers.
• Track non-compliance and analyze variances and outcomes.
• Monitor Inventory Count on production floor and logistics.
• Create journal entries for direct labor and overhead accruals.
• Validate TMC/Lean dashboards against SAP reports.
• Ensure accuracy of cost centers under Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and DCs.
• Complete Plant Closing activities on Work Day 1.
• Provide timely analysis on Manufacturing Cost, Variance, Savings, and FME results to Plant Leaders.
• Support in reporting for PFMs, ISC stakeholders, and Annual Standard Costs for materials.
• Support SAP ECC/S4 Hana integrity and related dashboards.
• Assist in achieving KPIs and OKRs with PFMs.
• Participate in Plant ManCom and stand-up meetings.
• Provide trainings and performance feedback to Production Controllers.
• Contribute to cost control, spare parts control, and inventory cycles.
• Act as Finance representative in RMPM and Annual Fixed Asset counts.
• Assist PFMs in external/audit requirements.

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Plant Finance Analyst

The Plant Finance Analyst is responsible in ensuring all accounting transactions under the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers are recorded and reported timely and accurate.

Analyze the Actual Total Manufacturing cost (TMC), Fixed manufacturing expenses (FME) , and Plant, Warehouse and Distribution Centers Operating Expenses (OPEX).

Ensure that accounting transactions recorded in accordance with GAAP, local and statutory requirement and company’s policies.

Timely and accurate preparation with explanation on the various reporting requirement of Plant Finance, not limited to Management Performance Reports (MPR), TMC, OPEX/ FME, Savings, Volume Price Mix.

Ensures the accuracy of the annual budget of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS )and FME of the Plant from submission to uploading in SAP.

Ensures all the government taxes are paid on time; statutory requirements of the Plants, Warehouse and Distribution are updated and 100% in compliant with the Local Government Units and National Government if necessary; and other requirements in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Legal Requirements

What are the Roles and Responsibilities?

• Supervises the Production Controllers to Support the Plant Finance Activities Closing, Managing RMPM usages, on time and accurate Technically Complete (TECO) Process Orders.
• Monitors status of Process Orders daily and towards month end closing.
• To adhere to the Process Order Management Policy
• Ensures that posting date of transactions (SAP Movement type 101, 102, 261, 262, 311, 312) are recorded on the same closing period.
• Ensures that manual adjustments (Journal Voucher) are eliminated or minimized
• Tracks, reports and analyzes reasons for non-compliance of Plant Controllers on daily control of process orders.
• Tracks and monitors Inventory Count at Production floor and Logistics.
• Creates journal entries for Direct Labor, Variable Overhead (DLVOH) accruals and adjustments.
• Monitors and validates the automated TMC / Lean manufacturing Roger's dashboard with generated manual and SAP reports.
• Evaluates and maintains the accuracy of the financial entries and cost centers reflected under Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers
• Accurate and on-time Plant Closing Activities should be completed on Work Day 1
• Provides timely analysis on Manufacturing Cost, Variance, Savings, FME Results to the Plant Leadership team
• Ensures timely submission and accuracy on various reporting requirements needed by the Plant Finance Manager (PFM), Finance Director and other Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) stakeholders
• Works with the PFMs to ensure the accuracy of the Annual Standard Costs for Raw Material Packaging Material (RMPM), DL, VOH, FME Budget submitted to management and uploaded in SAP.
• Supports the PFMs in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the Accounting System e.g. SAP ECC or S4 Hana, and other Reporting Dashboard relevant to the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
• Provides Proactive Support to the PFMs in the Attainment of the KPIs, OKRs
• Supports the PFM and be present in the Plant ManCom Meeting such as but not limited to Daily Stand Up (DSU) meetings
• Provides trainings and evaluates the performance and provides timely improvement feedback of the Production Controllers
• Actively participates in cost control procedures, spare parts control, inventory cycle of the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers.
• Act as Finance representative in the RMPM FG SPS Inventory cycle account of the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers
• Act as Finance representative in the Annual Fixed Asset count of the Manufacturing Plants, Warehouse and Distribution Centers
• Supports the PFMs in the resolution of internal audit issues related to Plant Finance
• Support the PFMS in the external audit requirements
• Prepares all required financial accounting report and maintain all accounting files in accordance with local and statutory requirements and Company’s policies.
• Provides clear communication and updates in the Financial Guidelines/Policies related to the Plant.
• Supports in any Agile or Special Projects of Commercial Finance , Plant Finance , and other Manufacturing Departments that needs Finance validation

What are the Qualifications?

• BS Accountancy graduate, a CPA board passer is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years experience as Cost Accountant, Plant Accountant, with Plant Manufacturing background
• Knowledgeable in SAP Accounting system
• MS Office knowledge especially in Excel (i.e. Familiarity in using VLOOKUP, PIVOT, SUMIF,etc formulas)
• Requires minimum supervision and a good team player
• Keen in details and an advocate of Continuous Improvement
• Familiarity with LEAN / AGILE ways of working
• Has a very good Stakeholder management and business partnering
