Job description

This role shall hold a multifaceted role responsible overseeing the daily operations and maintenance activities of solar power generation facilities. This position combines engineering expertise with hands‑on operational skills to ensure the efficient and reliable performance of solar power plant. Also, keep updated on PV solar innovation and provide recommendation on how to be more efficient in generation and operating cost.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Monitor and oversee the operation of solar power plant equipment, including solar panels, inverters, transformers, and monitoring systems, to optimize energy production and grid integration.
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to all stakeholders, whether internal or external.
• Identify problems and develop corrective action plans, scheduling and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts to diagnose and resolve operational issues, equipment failures, and performance deviations promptly. Utilize engineering principles and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Coordinate emergency response procedures and protocols to address critical incidents, equipment failures, and grid disruptions. Implement contingency plans to minimize downtime and mitigate risks to personnel and assets.
• Analyze performance data, monitoring metrics, and system diagnostics to assess the health and efficiency of solar power plant operations. Identify opportunities for optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, operational performance data, incident reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned and be required by the immediate superior.

Qualifications:

• Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer.
• At least one (1) year of experience in O&M of a Solar Power Plant.
• Having a COSH certificate is a plus.
• Having a PCO certificate is a plus.
• Ability to flexible hours, including weekends and holidays even nights during emergency.
• Willing to assign in Orion, Bataan.
